Tujan Stairway

It is located in the middle section of the Tirana River, where the flow is transversely interrupted by the rocky mountain of Dajt in the south east and Brar in the north west, forming a narrow gorge in the form of an interesting canyon.
The Tujan Stairway is 1.2km long, 20-50m wide and around 250m deep and has a karstic ecosystem with karstic niches and caves in the sides.
In antiquity this was part of a very important route for the middle Albania that connected Tirana and Durres with the Great Dibra, which went further into the Balkans.
