Program:

Part I(a.m) : After meet and greet in the hotel we will start our full day visiting Tirana. Visit to the National Historic Museum in Tirana offering an in-depth introduction to Albanian History from prehistoric times to present day, and afterwards we will have a visit at the Statue of Scanderbeg on the Scanderbeg Square, the Et’hem Bey Mosque at the center, the Clock Tower next to the Et’hem Bey Mosque and some walk around Parliament, The Tabaku Bridge, some walk on  Murat Toptani street, with its Ottoman buiding in it, some walk in  the Blloku area, the residential of the families of the party elite during the communism, we will see the house of ex-dicator Enver Hoxha, and the dictature symbols  in the main boulevard. Afterwards, we will visit the Museum “House of Leafes” built in 1931, the building originally had a clinical function. During World War II, under German occupation, it belonged to the Gestapo’s, while immediately afterwards, during the first years of the new regime, it became a center of Security (the political police) used for investigations. In 1950, it became the headquarters of scientific and technical section Security. House located in the city center, on the opposite side of Orthodox Cathedral, near Skanderbeg Square and the Central Bank of Albania and all, the National Museum in city center, in pavilion of the dictature. After visiting these places we will have the lunch in a traditional restaurant.

Part II(p.m) After lunch we continue our tour visiting the Cemetery of Martyrs and the Memorial of “Albanian Mother”. We continue with the Archeological Museum, with the Museum of Bunk’Art, a former military base, a large secret bunker that Albania’s communist regime built in the 1970s to survive a nuclear bombe. Then we can climb on Dajti mountain by cable car having a great view of the city, relaxing coffee break. Back to the city end of our day tour.
