National Theatre of Opera and Ballet

The National Theatre of Opera and Ballet was founded in November, 1953, with the first opera “Rusalka”, of the Russian composer A.S. Dargomizhsky.
Initially, The National Theatre of Opera functioned inside the building of the  Academy of Music and Arts of Albania, and later was transferred into the Palace of Culture at the center of the city, where it is located today.
